Tara is the co-owner and operator of the Old School Survival Boot Camp, the largest hands-on event in the United States for survival, homesteading, homeschooling, bushcraft, and self-reliance enthusiasts with over 100 hands-on classes for the entire family to enjoy.
She runs the Homestead Heritage Explorers homeschooling co-op, hosts the Survival Kids Camp and Heritage Fair as well as the Ohio Homeschool Science Fair annual events.
She studied both education and journalism at Ohio University. Tara lives on a 57-acre homestead in Appalachia with her family. She homeschooled her daughter during her teen years and is now helping to homeschool grandchildren.
